WHAT WE GROW
We strive to make fresh, local, high-quality produce available year round! We focus on growing winter and fall produce, so you can get your local veggie fix during even the coldest months of the year. We work hard to provide a wide variety of the tastiest fall and winter vegetables by growing some of your familiar favorites, but also specialty and heirloom varieties. Here are some of the veggies coming out of the field, high tunnels, and cellar this season:
Ten different specialty potato varieties // Fingerling potatoes // Butternut and other winter squash // Pumpkins // Sweet potatoes // Japanese Sweet potatoes // Onions // Cabbage // Napa Cabbage // Broccoli // Brussels Sprouts // Cauliflower // Scallions // Rainbow Carrots // Beets // Parsnips // Watermelon Radishes // Radishes // Purple Top Turnips // Scarlet Turnips // Fennel // Lettuce // Salad Mix // Arugula // Baby Kale // Kale // Collards // Rainbow Chard // Black Turtle Beans // Pinto Beans // Silver Cloud Cannellini Beans
In addition to veggies we wholesale seasonal blooms (mostly spring flowering branches and foraged perennials). We also grow, boil, and bottle sorghum syrup here on the farm, and raise pastured pork, and chicken.
HOW WE GROW
Our farm is our home for the long haul, and our goal is to improve its biodiversity and soils year after year. We use cover crops and pastured livestock to nurture the soil, and use only OMRI (organic) approved inputs. We may one day seek organic certification, but for now we grow using organic practices and welcome our customers out to the farm anytime to see for themselves how we grow!
We grow our winter produce in an unheated high tunnel and in a wood heated greenhouse, fueled with wood sustainably harvested from our woods or gifted by neighbors.

WHO WE ARE
We are Hailey and Mike Sowden. We are assisted day-to-day by loyal farm pups Jo and Lu, three not-so-sneaky barn cats Pico, Bernie, and Floyd (with varying levels of hunting prowess between them), and a smattering of rooting, scratching, pecking, and most importantly manuring, pigs, chickens, and turkeys.
We've come to farming through a love of dirt, good food, and a sustainable and honest livelihood. We absolutely relish sharing the fruits (and leaves! and roots!) of our labor with our community.
